    Description

    A friend who is in his 70s said these shoes belonged to his Finnish mother.. His mother never wore them, instead choosing to display them.
    These traditional shoes are worn by the Sami, a nomadic group that travels with the seasons.  They are chiefly reindeer herders.
    The shoes are in excellent shape and all the fur is intact. The leather is very rigid, probably due to its age. Measuring to the best of my ability, I believe the tape measure indicates that it is size 9  (9" from toe to heel). There is a marking on the bottom but I cannot read it and I have taken a photo.
