This is a vintage cigarette card signed by the artist Arthur Wardle features a mastiff dog. It is card number 18 “Mastiff” from the 1931 series “DOGS” issued by W. D. & H. O. Wills, The Imperial Tobacco Co. It has an adhesive surface on the back for sticking in an album. This was a very popular image and was used on the 1931, 1933 and 1938 Dogs issues by Wills.
Card Size:
This card is the “standard” cigarette card size of about 2-5/8 inches by 1-5/8inches.
Condition:
Very Good to Excellent condition. The adhesive back is intact and unused.
