    Description

    This is an antique Chinese red lacquered wardrobe or armoire from the Qing Dynasty (c. 1850). There are three shelves inside this cabinet with two doors (removable).  It is made of solid Chinese
    Yumu
    elm wood.  All the metal hardware is hand forged bronze. The doors are adorned with a large round bronze plate and a closing pin. The red lacquer finish appears to be original with the patina of a century plus.
    This cabinet has a total of four drawers in two sizes.  All drawers move easily without binding.
    This armoire has been used lovingly over the past two centuries, it remains in
    fine antique condition
    and should serve one well for another century of use.
    The wardrobe measures 68 1/2" tall by 41 1/2" wide by 24" deep (174 x 105 x 61 cm).  A great piece of Chinese history and an interesting and
    very solid and functional
    piece of furniture.
