Chinese furniture is known for its practicality, beauty, and sturdy construction. This storage cabinet features lattice doors and a finish that has aged to a beautiful patina. This piece has the elegant details of fine pieces used  in an aristocratic home. The frame is beveled according to classic Ming design principles. The chest has very little overt decoration, aside from the door lattice and the lock plate on the top storage bin. The piece dates to the mid 19th Century C. 1860, and came from Zhejiang province. The finish is original, excellent condition
